Delegate Tickets

 

What happens to the Full Delegate Ticket that I bought for the 2020 Congress?

The Full Delegate Ticket that you bought for the 2020 Congress is valid for the 2022 Congress. The new dates are 22nd-28th July 2022. An email confirming your new ticket will be sent out in September 2020.

 

I have a Day ticket for a specific day in 2020, is this transferrable to 2022?

Any Day Ticket/s bought for the 2020 Congress will be transferred to the corresponding day/days in 2022. An email confirming your new ticket/s will be sent out in September 2020. Should you wish to change the day/s, you may do so before December 1st 2021.

 

Is the cost of a Delegate Ticket the same for the 2022 Congress?

It is hoped to keep the cost of the Delegate Ticket/s the same for 2022, but we cannot guarantee this at the moment. If you keep your existing ticket there will not be any additional charges if the prices have to go up later.

 

What is the Early Bird discount deadline for 2022?

The Early Bird Discount deadline for 2022 is April 1st 2022. Get your delegate tickets here www.whc2022.wales

 

 

Public Tickets for Evening Concerts

What happens to a ticket I bought for an evening performance in 2020?

Public tickets for the Congress evening performances at the Wales Millennium Centre and St David’s Hall have all been refunded, so you will need to buy new tickets for the same events in 2022. Visit www.whc2022.wales frequently for information and to see when public tickets go back on sale.

 

 

 

Accommodation

 

I booked hotel accommodation for 2020, do I need to re-book for 2022?

Yes, you will need to rebook your hotel accommodation for 2022. To take advantage of the best advance rates, have a look at the 2022 Congress website which will have details of hotels and B&Bs in due course. Hotel bookings made through the Congress website have all been cancelled and no payment is taken until 7 days prior to the Congress in 2022. New bookings will be available towards the end of 2020 at www.whc2022.wales

 

I booked self-catering accommodation for 2020, will this still be valid for 2022?

Bookings for self-catering accommodation will be transferred automatically to 2022, and you will receive a confirmation email when the accommodation bookings re-open on the www.whc2022.wales towards the end of 2020.

 

When can I book accommodation for 2022?

Self-Catering, Hotel and B&B accommodation will be available on the new www.whc2022.wales website when it is launched towards the end of 2020.

WHC Annual Membership

Will I need to pay for an additional year’s membership of the WHC?

The Board of Directors of the WHC has agreed to extend any membership bought in 2020 to cover the 2022 Congress. More information on the different types of WHC Memberships can be found at www.worldharpcongress.com/membership

I am no longer eligible for a student membership. Will the extension still apply to me?

Yes, even though you are no longer a student, if you bought a WHC student membership in 2020, this will cover you for the 2022 Congress. More information on the different types of WHC Memberships can be found at www.worldharpcongress.com/membership

Performers

Will my original contract be valid for 2022?

All artists who received contracts to perform in 2020 will be sent new digital contracts for 2022. These will where possible be based on the performances in your 2020 or 2021 contracts. We plan to send these out in September 2021. We ask that you request any changes to programme, dates or times by the 1st July 2021. We will ask you to return your completed contract, by 1st December 2021. Significant artistic changes will need to be approved by the Artistic Committee. Can I change my programme/lecture for 2022?

Yes, you can make small changes to your programme, but any significant changes will need to be approved by the Artistic Committee. We ask that you request any changes to programme, dates or times by the 1st July 2021 by emailing info@whc2022.wales

 

When do I need to confirm my 2022 contract?

We will ask you to return your completed contract, by 1st December 2021.

 

 

Focus on Youth

 

How will the postponement of the Congress affect Focus on Youth artists?

FOY performers chosen to play in 2020 will be invited to present a recital as part of an online broadcast during the Summer of 2021, and will also be given an opportunity to play live in the 2022 Congress. New applications for the 2022 Focus on Youth will open in September 2020, please visit www.whc2022.wales for more details.

 

Can I change my repertoire for the 2021 online event?

Yes you can make some changes to your programme. Please email info@whc2022.wales to request these changes that will need to be approved by the Focus on Youth Committee.

 

Can I perform online in 2021 and apply for the Congress in 2022?

Yes provided you still meet all the criteria for applying to the 2022 Congress you can submit a new application to take part in the 2022 Focus on Youth programme, please visit www.whc2022.wales page for more details.

 

 

Exhibitors and Sponsors

Is my Exhibition space booking still valid for 2022?

Yes, your exhibition booking made for the 2020 Congress will be transferred to the 2022 Congress.

 

Is my Sponsorship booking still valid for 2022?

Yes, your sponsorship booking made for the 2020 Congress will be transferred to the 2022 Congress.

 

Is it too late to book an exhibition stand or sponsorship for 2022?

No, applications are still open and we welcome enquiries or bookings from new exhibitors or sponsors. The application deadline for the exhibition or sponsorship has been extended until 1st April 2022.

How do I receive updates about the 2022 Congress?

All updates will be shared via our Social Media platforms on Facebook and Twitter, and if you already follow us for the 2020 Congress, you will automatically receive notifications for the 2022 Congress. If you do not already follow us, now is the time to sign up! @WHC2022

 

 

Refunds

 

If I want a refund for my delegate ticket, is this possible?

Ideally all delegates will transfer their tickets to 2022. We sincerely hope that by the summer of 2022, Covid-19 will not be an issue, and we can deliver an even more inspiring and memorable Congress. Your money is secure, and there is no need to worry about re-applying and re-registering. However, if you would like to claim a refund on your delegate ticket you may do so from your original point of purchase. Please bear in mind that all refunds and transactions are likely to lose the fees charged by your credit card company.
